Saskatchewan provincial parks celebrate Family Literacy Week

Our friends at Saskatchewan provincial parks celebrate Family Literacy Week January 23-29, 2022! Take part in a guided walk in a winter wonderland to experience learning in the great outdoors. Park interpreters will guide you on a StoryWalk® that immerses you in the beautiful and captivating pages of Bernice Johnson-Laxdal and Miriam Körner’s book “When the Trees Crackle with Cold”.

Make sure to prepare for the weather – it’s always a good idea to dress in layers and bring snacks and water. Here are some tips from Active for Life on Dressing Kids for Winter, how to help kids dress for winter independently, and five tips to make your family winter hikes memorable. For additional information on Winter in Sask Parks, including more guided programs, visit parks.saskatchewan.ca.
