Who We Are

Interested in knowing more about us? We’d love to connect with you! The Saskatchewan Literacy Network connects literacy organizations, practitioners, and learners throughout the province. The Network is devoted to promoting literacy and lifelong learning and plays a vital role in encouraging cooperation, building programs and training, sharing resources, and advocating for literacy initiatives across the province and across Canada.

Our Core Values:

  • Literacy and Learning Are Rights:

Everyone has the right to learn. Everyone has the right to build their skills, in ways that matter to them – at home, at work, in learning, and in their community.

What this means in our work:
    – We create programs and resources for Level 1 and 2 literacy skills.
    – We use clear language in everything we do.
    – We speak up for better support for adult literacy across the province and beyond.

  • Literacy Is a Journey

People learn in different ways, and at different times in life. All learning goals are important, and they can be for work, school, family, or personal growth.

What this means in our work:
    – We support the goals that learners choose for themselves.
    – We build programs that are flexible and open to everyone.
    – We keep learning, too: as staff and as an organization.
