Our Mission

The Saskatchewan Literacy Network supports literacy development in three primary areas: at home, work, and community. These pillars represent the interconnected aspects of literacy in our everyday lives across Saskatchewan.

Literacy skills are transferable from one pillar to the next, supporting well-rounded learning and growth throughout life. They are built in the community through sharing information, formal and informal training, hands-on practice, and personal dedication.

Our Impact

We provide literacy and essential skills leadership in our province. We engage with government departments, academic institutions, organizations, companies, literacy practitioners, communities, and learners across the province. We support others in providing their own community-responsive literacy solutions (including through training, resources, and books!).

Our Reach

By collaborating with partners, friends, and supporters, we ensure quality literacy programming is accessible in Saskatchewan. We reach literacy professionals, programs, and communities all across our province. Like through the Family Literacy Day livestream reading events: in just the past two years, this initiative reached over 201 different Saskatchewan communities!
