Community Literacy Training

Community literacy training enhances literacy skills within specific communities, addressing unique challenges through collaborative efforts. Programs focus on reading, writing, numeracy, and digital literacy to empower individuals for civic engagement, educational pursuits, and employment opportunities. Through workshops and outreach, these initiatives foster lifelong learning and strengthen community bonds.

This half-day workshop provides information and tools for service providers and practitioners working with newcomers to Canada. Mentorship about financial literacy topics is a common theme while newcomers are settling in their new communities and seeking information to make informed decisions. Training will provide tools to mentors of newcomers in a variety of settings (individually, groups, and peer-to-peer), especially as it relates to financial decision making and planning.

This half-day training offers participants an extensive overview of literacy and essential skills. Participants will familiarize themselves with foundational concepts and applications for literacy, as well as having a better understanding of literacy and essential skills in Saskatchewan.

This half or full-day workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn how to communicate clearly and effectively. It is designed for anyone interested in enhancing verbal communication and writing skills for document editing and publication.

Program Planning and Proposal Writing Workshop

This full-day workshop introduces participants to a step-by-step approach to the program planning and proposal writing process. It is intended for those interested in program development and in cultivating strong proposal writing skills that increase success in accessing funds available from the government and other funding agencies.
